Pick your chart

Choose the whole event or one sub-event from the Event Day tab. Each keeps its own floor plan and seat list.

Import your seat list

Upload a CSV with a name, table, seat header row. HeyVite matches names to your guests, creates a table per distinct name, and flags anything unmatched.

Publish

Flip the publish toggle. Attending guests see their table, seat number and floor plan on their own invitation, and nowhere else.

Answers about seating charts on HeyVite.

Can I change the seating chart after I publish it?
Yes. Edit tables, re-import the CSV or drag guests between tables at any time, even after publishing. Guests always see the latest version: there is no final print to redo.
Can each sub-event have its own seating chart?
Yes. Seating is scoped per sub-event: the ceremony and the reception can each have their own tables, floor plan and seat list. The same guest can sit at different tables at different parts of the day.
How does the CSV import work?
Your file needs a header row with name, table and seat columns, separated by commas or tabs. HeyVite matches each name against your guest list (exact first, then case-insensitive, then by name parts) and assigns matched guests automatically.
What happens to names that do not match a guest?
They are not lost. Unmatched rows appear in a fix list where you pick the real guest for each one from a dropdown, and their table is already set. You can also seat guests by hand on the drag-and-drop board.
Who can see the seating chart?
Only your attending guests, and only after you publish. Each guest sees their own table and seat on their private invitation, never anyone else's. There is no public seating list.
Can my co-host or planner manage the seating?
Yes. Co-hosts with itinerary permission can upload floor plans, import seat lists and fix assignments. Publishing the chart stays with the event owner.
Can I seat guests before they RSVP?
Yes. The import matches names, not replies, so you can build the whole chart as early as you like. Guests simply see their seat the moment you publish.
Does the seating chart cost extra?
No. Seating charts are included on every plan, the free one included. As with everything in HeyVite, the only thing a paid plan buys is a larger guest list.
