Whichever tone you choose, every baby shower invitation needs the same bones: who, what, when, where, and when to reply.
The parent-to-be is the headline. For coed showers, name both parents; for a sprinkle, it’s lovely to nod to the older sibling too.
“Hosted by” tells guests who is organizing and who receives their RSVP questions. List every co-host; shower hosting is real work and deserves the byline.
Unlike wedding invitations, baby shower invitations may name the registry directly: “Lauren is registered at Willow & Sprout.” Keep it to one line, after the essential details.
Showers are usually daytime events with a natural window. For open-house formats, print the full range: “anytime between 2:00 and 5:00 PM.”
If guests should bring a book instead of a card, or diapers instead of gifts, say it on the invitation. Surprising guests with homework at the door is the one shower faux pas.
